Were your Medicaid Homecare hours reduced by your MLTC? Did you receive a notice that you would be receiving fewer hours of care?
You may be eligible to restore your care to the previous level.
Prior to issuing any reduction notice, MLTCs must first identify some development that justifies altering a recipient’s level of services. MLTC’s are prohibited from reducing recipient’s home care services unless the MLTC’s notice states that a reduction is justified because of any of a series of listed reasons.
Don’t let time slip by: if you need assistance in restoring your care, call Futterman & Lanza, LLP, as soon as possible. There are timeframes within which you must act.
